Website Header Design

Objective

NBC Channel 5 in Chicago, wanted an update to their web site headers to freshen the look but still match with their web site and pre-existing brand materials and past graphics, as well as tie together the various sections with a cohesive new look.

Approach

Working in conjunction with Assets New Media, we used screenshots of their previous broadcast graphics and incorporated these and other network branded material into all of the new graphics while focusing on creating an impactful, yet easy read with an intuitive take-away as to the subject matter.

Graphically, We used various logos to maintain continuity, created customized backgrounds and type treatments for each header and maintained uniform colors for the backgrounds while using similar fonts in each header.

Summary

NBC 5 Chicago launched these headers and accomplished its goals of refreshing their site with newer graphics that matched the branding requirements and updated the look of their web site.
