PlayUp

PlayUp - AUS/US Sportsbook Conversion
Posted on October 14, 2022 by Peter Loomis

PERSONE is excited to collaborate with PlayUp Limited to bring their Australian sportsbook product to the US market.

We started working with PlayUp in June of 2022 and are currently focused on designs to integrate our US technology partners and to prepare the product for certification based on state and industry-based regulatory requirements. Currently PlayUp are operating in 2 states, CO & NJ via a third-party provider. Our goal is to bring proprietary, customized sportsbook integrations to life in several US states, beginning in March of 2023.

Since 2018 and the repeal of US PASPA legislation, several states have legalized sports betting in regulated state-based markets. There are over 30 states where sports betting is legal and the country is opening up to the idea of extra state revenues brought in by gambling regulation.

Here is a good web page with information on Calfornia's own state initiatives, which are on the ballot this November in 2 separate propositions, one Prop 26 aimed at tribal gaming and another Prop 27 that might open up sports gambling to other companies and interests. It is the latter which might impact PlayUp (and others') ability to become licensed in one of the US's biggest potential markets, considering it is one of the most populous states in the country.

Thus far, our work has been directly impacting the US sportsbook product in desktop and mobile formats. We have also been providing marketing support for other banners, ads and most recently some arena and broadcast-based graphics to support PlayUp's partnership with the NHL's New Jersey Devils and to promote their new season which is just kicking off in Fall 2022.

The Interventional Initiative & UCSD

The Interventional Initiative collaboration with UCSD - Patient Document Web Templates
Posted on February 14, 2022 by Peter Loomis

PERSONE just finished a preliminary, beta-testing phase document integration update for one of our long-term clients and Bay Area partners, The Interventional Initiative, which is an leading non-profit dedicated to interventional radiology and minimally invasive surgery and awareness.

Working within the client's content management system (we're currently using Wild Apricot) we developed a customized, responsive template to match their new printed "Patient Decision Aids," or documents which affiliated doctors can also start giving to patients, informing them of certain minimally invasive procedure options that might be available to them when possible. There are two document templates – for before and after the procedures – which can educate and facilitate consent with certain minimally invasive procedures that might help with patients. These new templates will make them accessible online, for all devices, as well.

So far we have created an initial set of documents for both before and after procedures, in both English and Spanish. This is also a collaboration with the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) which is helping to facilitate the Spanish portion of the project. The project will likely be tweaked as the beta phase feedback comes in and can be integrated. Stay tuned!
